1. Viscosity change:
The conformal paint will have different viscosity changes before and after use. The flow rate of conformal paint will change with the change of temperature during the test. The higher the temperature, the faster the flow rate will be.
2. Coating thickness:
If a thicker coating is desired, it is best obtained by applying two thinner coats, and requires that the second layer must be fully cured before applying the second layer;
3. Thickness of film layer:
The thickness of the film layer depends on the application method. The amount of diluent added is large, the viscosity of the glue is low, and the thickness of the glue is thin; on the contrary, the viscosity of the glue is high, and the thickness of the glue is thick.
4. Inconvenient coating areas:
Some PCB circuit board components are inconvenient for coating, such as connectors, software sockets, switches, radiators, plug-in areas, etc., coating materials are not allowed, and it is recommended to use tearable solder mask to cover.
5. Temperature and humidity:
All coating operations should be carried out under the conditions that the temperature is not lower than 16°C and the relative humidity is not higher than 75%. As a composite material, the PCB circuit board will absorb moisture. If the moisture is not removed, the three-proof paint of Tianxiang Technology cannot fully play its due protective role. Pre-drying and vacuum drying can remove most of the moisture.
6. Coating repair method:
If you want to repair the coated component, just touch the soldering iron directly to the coating to remove the component. After installing the new component, clean the area with a brush or solvent [thinner]. Then dry and re-coat with conformal paint.
7. Three anti-paints generally contain flammable solvents:
High temperature and open fire should be avoided, and sufficient ventilation conditions should be provided to avoid prolonged inhalation of volatile gases and repeated contact with the skin for a long time; and the PCB circuit board components that are completely cured after coating with conformal paint are basically harmless to the human body. .
8. Operating staff safety:
Pay attention to safety and protection during coating operation, the environment should be ventilated, and operators should wear protective gas masks.
